Notice to Advertisers Concerning Reduced Size Circulars and Copy-Condensed Circulars:
In an effort to save money, some dealers are reducing 2 - 8x11" circulars by 50% or more to fit them onto 1 - 8x11" page. Other dealers are condensing the size of the print to a very small, compressed size, thereby fitting 2 or 3 pages worth or print on just 1 - 8x11" circular.
While this is a noble effort to reduce your mailing/advertising costs, it many times produces circulars that don't reprint well or are extremely hard to read with the naked eye. Most readers are not going to search for a magnifying glass to read your circulars, so they just toss them in the trash.
This also translates to the way the circulars look when posted online. Some circulars that have been "reduced" by the above mentioned methods turn out so small, they can barely be read. Others seem to blur. Some, if printed sharply on a laser printer, will appear acceptable.
My policy on this matter is that I do accept "Reduced" circulars but only at the Advertiser's risk. I will do my best to make the clearest scan I can and post the circular at it's maximum allowed size (as determined by the webhosting service), but I can not be responsible if the circular is not as clear and readable as a full size circular.
Do yourself and your potential customers a favor. Send in your best, sharpest circulars to be posted online. Sometimes that will mean sending full size versions of your ads, instead of reduced sized circulars.
